Personal Statement
I am going to college because I desire to be a Nuclear medicine technologist and or a Medical Examiner. Many people wish to be doctors and to save lives, but what happens when a life can not be saved because it was taken prematurely? I want to be the voice of the ones who left without one. Being in college will allow me the opportunity to become that voice, or help administer radioactive care. College will also allow me to be able to network and extend my academics and personal growth. I also, desire to be able to use/grow my talent in track and field on a collegiate level and use it as my ticket to get there. It has been a goal of mine since I was in the second grade. My mother was collegiate track and field athlete, her drive and love of the sport bled into me. I love it and I have a gift that I desire to share with others. I am military child with a multicultural background and athletic experiences. Learning how to build families, team building skills, and adapting to new environments and things is a natural behavior for me. Traveling around to different countries has allowed me to learn from other cultures and their ways of athletic and academic developments. Growing up in a single parent military home, I have embedded discipline, team building, social/mental/spiritual/and physical resiliency.
