Personal Statement
My college goals are to be a champion college athlete and graduate with honors with a degree in biology. I have always strived to be the hardest working student athlete on the court, field, track or in the ring. My high school coaches have told me my work ethic is what sets me apart from others. I desire a college track and field program which will push me to reach my full potential in my current events (shot and disc) while also allowing me the opportunity to master the hammer and weight throw. I finished in the top two in the shot put in every track meet my junior and sophomore year and want to find a program where I can continue that success in the ring.
Academically, I want a college with a strong premed track as my future goal is to become an orthopedic doctor. Having been involved in many extracurricular activities in high school I have had to learn good organizational skills to balance my academic and athletic responsibilities. My junior year I was recognized for my academic and athletic achievements as my high school's candidate for the Distinguished Student Award presented by the North Dakota High School Activities Association. I want to find a college where I can continue to be a top student athlete.
