I have been fortunate to have competed in many different sports throughout my life…basketball, soccer, golf, cross country, and even dance. However, I started track and field when I was seven years old through my local community and have continued to learn what I am capable of. I was able to compete in many different events. My favorite always involved jumping. I like making a personal goal and surpassing it. I believe that my background has helped me become a well-rounded athlete. While many of my peers have focused on a single sport, I feel that my success in high jump has been a result of the myriad of experience and teams I have been involved in. I am excited to continue competing in college as I do not feel I am ready to retire my spikes when I graduate high school.
