Personal Statement
My goal is to continue my personal growth journey both academically and athletically so that I can be the best I can be and in turn contribute to the better whole of society.
Sports in general, and recently track and field have really been a positive impact on who I am. I have learned life balance, team work, self discipline and the value of hard work. These attributes along with pure determination is what will set me apart as a student and player from other candidates.
My high school couches tell me I have a gift. The endurance from years of club level soccer and natural speed led me to love and compete at the 800m. I also have the ability to jump and am developing my long jump this season. Though I am banking only junior high and one year of high school running, I am very coachable and determined to prove myself, especially mid distance events.
In the classroom I maintain a 3.7, while dual sported. I work hard and take challenging classes. I am striving to get back to a 4.0. Girls Scouts, Youth Ministry and family values have taught me the importance of giving back to the community. I embrace change and can thrive very well in new environments. Traveling at a young age to ODP soccer camps out of state and changing school districts Freshman year are examples of this ability.
I am open to all opportunities that will allow me to continue my passion of running track while pursing my field of study.
