Track and Field is my passion, I've been running ever since I was little. However I didn't start off with Track and Field, I started by running marathons. My drive to run makes running look effortless. Running track has showed me more about myself and I've got taught life lessons through my coaches as well. On responsibility, how much you have to be determined and most importantly that nothing is giving everything is earned through hard work!
Last Year after going to prom a day before district finals I understood how I have to keep my priorities straight and in line, I lost my race that day when I should of won. I lost the 400meter dash, 200meter dash and none of my relays I was on came to perform that day. I felt so down and so stupid but I was so lucky to be the alternate in the 4 by 100meter relay. That relay went to regionals(where we lost) but I had a second chance to prove I was a great runner. It broke ny heat into pieces that a person with my talent and passion did not make it to regionals, all because of a prom that wasn't even mine. However I learned something very important that day. After I lost my races I'll never put anything so redundant before my dreams every again. I believe if I would have showed up during districts regionals would of looked very nice for me. Now I just want that chance to prove I should be at states.
