Stephanie Stewart '10 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Stephanie Stewart and I'm a senior at Gahanna Lincoln High School in Gahanna, Ohio and I'm ready to go to college! Talkative, outgoing, and enthusiastic are just a few of my many characteristics. Some people may think I'm a bit crazy at times, but they don't see the real girl behind all the craziness. I love watching and playing sports, because they're a strong passion of mine. My family always comes first and I love spending time with them. I'm average height at 5'6" and I weigh about 130 pounds. I'm big on nutrition and I eat a well balanced meal everyday to give me strength, energy, and speed that I use in my everyday life. Some of my most important accomplishments include winning our conference track meet in back to back years, and also winning district and regional meets my freshman year. I have also been a two time Division 1 state qualifier in the 4x200 and 4x400m relays. I won freshman of the year in 2007 and won coaches award in 2009, my junior year. Also I was one of the our six captains my junior year and a returning captain my senior year. I am a very hard worker and I'm not satisfied until I get the job done. I'm always the first one to ask coach what our time was, how we did, and where we need to improve. I am looking forward to running at the college level because I feel that it would be great to run against some of the fastest athletes in the country. It also gives me the opportunity to meet some new people. Size of the school doesn't really matter to me, but i also wouldn't want to go to college some where far away so my parents can come and watch me run. Anywhere close to Ohio is good with me. I haven't set my focus on a major yet, but Journalism is my top choice. I'm ready for college and to compete at the college level, let's get it done!
