Abigail Gough '19 Recruiting Profile

I love to compete. I will take on any challenge – academic, social, and especially athletic. Though I have played many sports, like basketball and volleyball, my true athletic passion is Track. I think it's the way my individual performance helps lift my team and how my biggest competition is often myself.  My love of a tough challenge has led me to focus on the 300 hurdles, but I also run the 100 hurdles, the 4x4, 4x2, and anything else my coaches need me to run. I've also competed in jumps and thrown javelin. When it comes to track, I will do whatever it takes to help my team win. I will be on the track before the team arrives and stay after practice is over. I've run stadiums in the rain and sprinted in alone in the snow. The reason I would make a great addition to your team is the same reason I run track – because I love to compete and am driven to improve in sports and in life.
