Personal Statement
I live by the saying “everything happens for a reason” and “you get out what you put in.” I’m about to go into my junior year this fall of 2019. My freshman year I went to state in the 400m and 800m. I didn’t do as good as I wanted but I knew God had a different plan for me. Beginning of my sophomore year in September I tore my ACL and was told that running track this past season was probably not going to happen. Soon I was working on my knee 24/7 because there was nothing more I wanted than to run. At this point state wasn’t really in my mind until regionals came along and I was more than capable of making it. This past year I made it to state in the 400m and 200m. I ended up getting 5th in state in the 400m and 8th in the 200m and there was no one else to thank other than God and my grandparents watching me from heaven. This set back has done so much for me and taught me to never give up.
