Hello from Small Town Canada!
I am an energetic, hard-working athlete, daughter, sister, friend and coach. I have been excelling in high-level sport since grade 7, starting with provincial championships in gymnastics (2 yrs in a row) before dedicating myself to track & field.
I love to train, compete and push myself to new limits. I have a witty sense of humour and live by the motto, stay humble & stay hungry. I strive to be the hardest worker in the room whether it be athletically or academically.
During the pandemic, I have been training at a consistent and competitive level on the track and in the gym. I look forward to getting back out & competing.
When I was 8 years old, I walked into the gymnastics club & did a handstand. The coach at the time said I could never compete competitively unless I worked hard, even then it would be a stretch. He said this to an 8 yr old! :) I used that as motivation to excel in the sport & am a coach (since I was 13) of competitive gymnasts (10-12 yr olds) in that very same gym, working for the coach who doubted me. He has been nothing but a mentor to me ever since the handstand fiasco. :)
My goal in University is to excel not only athletically but also academically in the human kinetics field.
I would be a welcome addition to any campus. I don't take myself too seriously in social settings. I have competitive and non-competitive friends in my circles, I love them all dearly.
I plan on competing in high-level track & field when things open back up, I'd be a welcome addition to any team and be what I said I am, the hardest worker in the room.
Thanks for reading!
