My history as an athlete has been very successful to date. I have competed at All-Ontario levels (also known as Provincials) in swimming, cross-country and primarily in track-and-field. I have earned 9 top-10 finishes at the provincial levels in these sports. I was ranked 4th in Ontario in the 9th grade (freshman year) in my 300mH with a time of 48.6, and I was ranked 4th in Ontario in the 10th grade in my 80mH with a time of 12.48. I also was 12th in the province of Ontario in the 400m in 2010 in a time of 1:03. I have received multiple awards from my high-school including "Top Junior Girl Athlete", "Top Senior Girl Athlete", "Top Female on the Track-and-Field Team" and "Top Female on the Swim Team". This proves that my coaches see me as an athlete with lots of promise, as well as a leader. I was also chosen to represent my school at 'HOBY', which is a leadership seminar that takes place at various locations across America. This success has led me to believe that I would fit in well with NCAA athletics. I am a very positive and determined student, which is why I would like to study and compete at the school that can best provide me with both and education and athletic excellence.
