ABOUT ME
I'm a hard-working student, in and out of the classroom. I am a multi-sport athlete competing in cross country, basketball, sprints, relays, and throws, basketball team MVP and all-league honors; captain of the track team and basketball team; and twice-elected class president for National Charity League, Inc.
I am quiet, serious, focused, and extremely even-tempered. The Oregonian wrote an article about me a few years ago stating that that I didn't fit the part of an elite thrower but my results speak for themselves. I play multiple sports year-round and work really hard to be balanced. People that know me understand the importance of balance in my life. The basketball commitment at my school is year-round and this has left little time for track training.
I want my future coaches to know that I compete because I love the sport and I am equally as passionate about volunteerism and my studies (4.3 GPA). I am team-first oriented and will never put myself ahead of my teammates. I work extremely hard to reach my goals and I don't complain about hard work but I like to be pushed.
I count my close friends with one hand and value substance over popularity. I've had the same core group of friends for many years.

- During the summer of 2013, I connected with club coach, Scott Skipper. I go to his location 3 times per week for non-throws training. This includes: weights and plyometrics. We also work on throwing drills for shot, discus, hammer, weight, and javelin.
