2017 Highlights Personal Statement
One of the best moments as a high school athlete, was being able to compete at the Three Rivers League District Championships, triple jumping for my third time ever. It had always been an event I wanted to do, and I went in with little expectations, jumping my way to first place and a 1 foot PR. It gave me a lot of confidence as an athlete knowing I can do anything I put my mind to and train hard for.
I also like to enjoy what I do, and have a good time, encouraging teammates, cheering them up, or getting them excited! Earlier this season I took my first fall in a hurdle race, at an invitational. I finished that race head high with some grit and a smile because it happens to everyone, so why not make the most of it!
