As a current high school athlete, I aspire to one day run at the top collegiate level as a D1 athlete. Academically and athletically, I believe I am prepared to go to the next level. I take my education seriously, being a Distinguished Honors student throughout my high school career and regularly balancing academics and extracurricular activities. On the track, I am mainly focused on the mid-distance, ranging from the 800m to the 200m, but am very versatile as my coaches can put me in just about anything. I have experience with both distance and sprints, as I also run XC in the fall. Cross-country is my second love behind the track, because I love the team aspect. My XC girls are my second family and I can't wait to meet new friends in college! This year we were runner up in Girls AA at the PIAA state championship! Besides being a three sport athlete year around, I also enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and maintaining a food blog on Instagram! I am very interested in nutrition and love to encourage others to change their lifestyle for a better performance on and off the track. If you are interested, go check it out at https://www.instagram.com/running_on_nutrition/. Similarly, I also interested in sustainability/ environmental engineering as my career path. I want to help the environment by combating pollution, conserving precious resources, as well as eliminating food waste. In my local community, I have been able to volunteer over the summer at a food bank where I was able to feed low income families by providing food from people in the community with an excess harvest and big corporations that would regularly bring in donations. Ultimately, I am excited for what the future holds and can't wait to start this next chapter of my life!
