Emily Fisher '14 Recruiting Profile

I am part of the 2014 class at Greenwood High School, Millerstown, PA.  I throw shot put, discus, and javelin for the girl's track team at my school.  My freshman year, I fell in love with track.  During practice I often stayed well past the time everyone else left, talking to the coach and honing my skills. That summer, I joined the Infinity Throwing Club and have been practicing throughout the off-season.  My sophomore year, I placed 5th at the PIAA District 3 AA meet in both discus and shot put.  In my junior year, I won the District 3 AA meet in discus and placed second in shot put.  I made the state qualifier in both, and placed 6th at the state meet for AA discus.

Ideally, I would want to go to a small, rural college, but I would also very much consider colleges that don't fall into this category.  As for location and geographic area, colleges in or around Pennsylvania would be preferred, but not exempt.  Altogether, I would like to attend a school that will challenge me both mentally and physically.
