Hello,
My name is Nicolette Cortez, I would like to share a little about myself, I am the first Sophmore to be Varsity Captain at New Foundations Charter High School. I have ran track for 6 years now, therefore I am very experienced and have a great love and dedication to this sport. I would be a great candidate for your team because I am very optimistic. Freshmen year at my Penn-Jersey Championship, I placed runner-up champion which was devastating to not be first but I took that as a motivation put in the extra work to be better. I am a leader on and off the track. I love to motivate my teammates as well as to push themselves out side of their comfort zone to be the best athlete they can be. After track practice I have tutored younger students on my team while guiding younger athletes on the right path. I have been elected Student Council President 2 years in a row. I have always been very quick on my feet and track has really conditioned me for my other sports such as soccer but my heart has always belonged to running track. During the off season I still maintain to stay conditioned whether if it is going to the gym or soccer workouts. I feel that track has physically and mentally shaped the women I am today instilling a determination to have success and push my limits with self discipline of maintaining a healthy body and healthy mind. Devoting endless weekends as well as late nights after school to reach success I do not regret a second of it. My future goals include maintaining a scholarship to provide for my medical schooling to become a dermatologist.
