Personal Statement
Since I began my track career during my sophomore year in high school, I found a love for track and field that I had not experienced with any other activity. I had ran cross country for many years in elementary and middle school, but track was something different. Even though I had not ran track before, I had a natural born talent in the sport. My coaches used my abilities to mold me into the athlete that I am today. I believe I would be an asset to a collegiate level track team because I learn new techniques very quickly, adapt to new and harder workouts swiftly, and a drive that propels me to work diligently. As a collegiate athlete, I would like to gain more track and field knowledge as well as to become better in my core events. I expect that my academic standing and extracurricular activities will separate me from other athletes. Ever since I ran at my first track meet, I knew that this was something that I wanted to continue throughout my college career.
