Personal Statement
I believe I was born to run. I was inspired by my mom to take up a running sport in the 7th grade. Before then, all I had ever known was dance. I participated in both recreational and competitive dance teams until the end of my 8th grade year. The more I ran, the more I knew this was my sport.
I currently run Cross Country and both indoor and outdoor Track for Elk County Catholic High School. I love being on a team and interacting with one other; it is one of the many reasons why I enjoy competing so much! There is nothing lining up on the starting line with your best friends right next to you ready to fight the same battle that you are; we are all in this together. By the end of the season we become a family. I would love to continue these great experiences of Cross Country and Track to the collegiate level.
I work very diligently in school to maintain a high GPA. I always take the accelerated and advanced classes, and I was even enrolled in two AP classes this year. School is very important to me, and I would love to find a college that would fulfill my academic needs as well as my athletic needs.
