My name is Ashlee Newton and I am a 5'4" hardworking and passionate athlete. I just completed my junior year, which was my most successful outdoor season yet. I won all of my dual meets in the Pole Vault, had a complete season mentally putting up a height at every meet regardless of weather and in Northeastern Pennsylvania the spring didn’t see many perfect vaulting days. I won the Molly Dry Invitational, I am the NTL (Northern Tier League) Champion, I took 3rd Place at the PIAA District IV meet, and finished 9th in the PIAA State Meet, hitting my PR of 10’6” through Districts and States.
I know that with my hard work and cross training I would make a great addition to a college team. I am dedicated to being the best athlete I can be from working with a strength coach in the mornings to attending practices in the evenings, as well as traveling over two hours weekly to train at Vaultworx in Camp Hill, PA.
My college choices are starting to filter as I look academically at Biology, Chemistry, and Neuroscience Programs with the thought of going to Medical School. I have dreamed of being a Division I athlete at the school of my choice, but I am open to looking at all divisions. I know I am the right athlete for a college program. I have a strong 4.0 GPA along with competitive SAT scores. My work ethic in the classroom and at the track is what makes me a great recruit for your program. I will always be courteous and thankful for these opportunities.
