Running collegiate track has always been a huge goal for me. Both my mother and uncle ran in college and my mom was the one who sparked the interest in me at a young age. I have been running track at the high school since I was in eighth grade and winning a state title at that age was thrilling. This sport has shown me that I thrive under pressure, even when I feel a little uncomfortable at times.
Academics are as, or more, important to me as athletics. I have played three sports at a varsity level my entire high school career and have maintained a 4.0 GPA. I think this shows that I have the work ethic to not only succeed as an athlete on your team, but also as a student in college.
