Hello,
My name is Ninoshka Robinson and I am 18 years old. Ever since I was a baby, running fascinated me. I could not keep myself from running anywhere. The day my family knew I would become a great sprinter one day was when my sister had signed me up for a crawling race for little babies, she said that the moment she set me down to race I didn't stop crawling so fast until I was across the finish line. I had won! That feeling never left my spirit and now I never give up until I can satisfy that feeling of winning and of beating my competition.
My dream has always been to run the 100m dash at the 2024 Olympic games in Paris France, and not only win but break the women's 100m dash record set by Florence Joyner. My life has not been the easiest one to live yet my experience has been that with Gods love, my perseverance and the mindset of succeeding in all things, I can do anything. I have never given up on myself, nor have I ever given myself an excuse to not go on, even when I fail.
I have qualified twice for the AAU Junior Olympic games in the 4x100 as well as the 100m dash. I also won district this past school season in the 4x100m as well as the 100m dash and qualified for Area in the 4x100m, the 100m, and the 200m dash.
My goals are and have always been very clear. I will do whatever it takes to become what I have always dreamed of. I would be a good candidate for collegiate athletics in the track program because I am a hard worker. I take things very seriously and I do not play around when it comes to my training and my education. I am a good leader when it comes to teamwork and I love to accomplish goals as well as exceed expectations. Other previous Coaches have told me that in their time of knowing and training me, they have observed that when training, I not only express my passion for this sport through hard work and training, but that I do also express my passion through the way I speak of the sport as well as the way I receive the advice and consultation given to me by the coaches that train me. Every moment that I get to have training and practice are the moments that I highly value the most. In any moment my mind goes forward to the future of when and how I can perfect my speed and perform to the best of my abilities. I always and continually have the same dream during the day and even at night, which is being a successful Olympian crossing the finish line first and breaking the record for the 100m dash for the women's division.
The feeling of crossing the finish line first is one that I crave every time I train and compete. I enjoy the times of hard work when I can envision my success. Though I always remind myself to keep a growth mindset, a learning spirit, and a humble mind, I increasingly become perseverant in becoming the best and being the best at what I am most passionate about.
I am extremely excited to start this next chapter in my life and I look forward to seeing what Gods plan is for me,
Once again thank you for your time and consideration,
Ninoshka Robinson
