Hello I would like to thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I am looking for a college that has a pre-veterinary or veterinary program and I am also hoping to compete in throwing at the college level.
My collegiate goals are to go to a good college and to receive a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Being a veterinarian is something I have always wanted to do ever since I was a child. Since my freshman year I have been in the top 10% of my class and have been working hard to keep my rank there. During my freshman year I joined my high school FFA Chapter. So far while being in FFA I have placed third in Greenhand Creed speaking ,I raised and show rabbits and two lambs for the BYF show,I have also held the officer position as sectarian for two years now, and currently I am the president of my FFA chapter.
Junior High is where I was introduced to track and field and is where I fell in love with shotput and discus. I threw during my 7th and 8th grade year and decided to continue to throw in high school. Once I got to high school I signed up for the track period and started practice. As the season was getting closer my coach informed me that I was going to start off on varsity. At first it seemed intimidating but I was ready for the challenge. Then at district I placed 8th in shotput and received my letterman that following summer. I am happy to say that I'm still on varsity and I am getting better with the help of my coaches and my sister who was also on her varsity track team throwing shotput and discus for her 4 years of high school.
I live a great life, but money is going to be a struggle when it comes to college. My academics, track, and scholarships is what I am depending on to get me to where I want to be in life. I am looking forward to the challenges life will throw at me. Being a successful athlete, student, and person is what I strive for and it is something that I will never back down from.
