Jamie Doering '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Jamie I am a senior at canton high school and I am seeking a college to finish up the rest of my track career. Track and field is where my heart is at it makes me feel alive and keeps the pressure on. Although school is a secondary thing for me I’ve always dreamed of becoming something bigger in track and field but I’ve never had the money neither an opportunity to. I’m an amazing athlete and a all around student.

 I am seeking a college to carry on my goals and help me get to where I want to be. A college that will make me feel at home and welcoming. Please contact me if I seem to any interest to your college. I am looking for a college in Texas to follow in business and track. 

You may ask why should I pick this athlete out of every other athlete out there. My response to that question is that I am no quitter. I will push myself over what I know I can do just so I can get to the spot I want to be at. (My coaches will say the same thing, that I never gave up and I surprised them as a new athlete to the team.) I never thought I would make it to regionals last track season for my first year in varsity track and I did. My coach’s love me for my effort because I would never slow down I would push myself to my limits and I would never complain when told “we are running “” today.” I surprised my coach’s last season and I tend to surprise every other coach out there. Going from running a 1.07 on a 400 to a .59 in one season is a big deal and I’m hoping I can keep breaking times like that at a new school. I have always had a different character and perspective than everyone else I’ve always looked outside boxes and will always have a personality different from everyone else although when I’m on that track I’m all in but when I’m off the track I have a personality that’s unmatched. I am a amazing fun person to be around and will always want to please others and although I’m hard on younger generations I’m a good teacher due to that. I love sharing with others that same passion I have. To never give up, and one day it will lead me to places I’ve never been.
