Hello, my name is Giovanna Zubia, I am currently a senior at Eastwood High School in El Paso, Tx. I have been on the varsity track team at my 6A school since my freshman year. I am a very hard worker, along with being a motivated individual with the persistence needed to go farther, not only running wise, but academically as well. I am ranked as a Top 10 student in my class with a 102 GPA and have been taking several honors and AP courses throughout my middle school and high school careers. I run the 400, 800, 4x1, 4x2, and the 4x4. I love sprinting and working with my teammates and plan to continue my dream of running another couple of years, along with completing my education. I know with the right coaches and environment I can become an even better athlete than I currently am. A motto I live by is " It's not about being the best, it's about being better than you were yesterday." I truly believe that I can become an even greater runner and that inspires me to keep pushing and reaching towards my goals. I currently hold the #4 All time 400m dash record at my school.
