Karisten Bowie '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Karisten Bowie. I am 17 year old thrower and sprinter who attends Flower Mound High School. I have played multiple sports through out the years, such as softball, volleyball, and track. I haven't played softball in 2 years but I would love to get back into it.  My main position was catcher but I would also play 3rd, shortstop, and center field. I played recreational softball for FMYSA. I was offered to join a few select teams, but due to my family being low on funds we couldn't make it happen.  

I have been running track since I was in 7th grade. I love track but my family never really had the money for me to join a local team or club, so I ran for my high school. My junior year was first year throwing Shot Put and I'd like to think I'm doing fairly good. My official PR is 36.5.  I'm currently learning Discus. I've also participated in other events such as long jump and triple jump.  Id like to think I am a coachable athlete. I am a very hard worker and a team leader. 

I have not yet taken my ACT or SAT, so I do not have scores to provide for them.
