Hello. My name is Sydney Allen and I'm a rising SR at Debakey HIgh School for Health Professionals in Houston, Texas. I run for Track Houston and Lamar High School. Track has made me a lot stronger and has taught me that nothing comes easily and that you have to work extremely hard for everything you hope to achieve. I' ve embraced that challenge and that's the reason that I love to run and keep on running every day. My goal is to continue to run track at the college level and to continue training with my college coaches to work together to drop my times and to improve my strength, conditioning, endurance and overall performance. I love running and will bring my dedication and perseverance to the university that I attend. My goal is be a consistent strong contributor for my team. When I put my mind to something I continue to work at it until I achieve my goal. When I started running I was very inexperienced and nowhere near where I am today. I've run at the National level the last 4 years. I plan to continue to improve each year and my goal is to run elite times at the National level and to pr each year. I'm a very strong team player and I really enjoy supporting and running with my teammates from Lamar High School- my zoned school for track and Track Houston. I like HS track but my main focus is summer track. Academically, I've taken Pre AP classes and I'm currently taking 2 AP classes. I completed a SAT prep class and scored 1450 on the SAT. I'm retaking it this summer/early fall. I've completed a ACT prep class and I'm going to take it as well. My favorite subjects are math and english. My goal is to be a Dentist or an Engineer. I'm a member of DUKE TIP, and I've volunteered with Homework Helpers and Students Without Borders. I'm a very disciplined and dedicated student athlete. I love to work really hard, challenge myself and most importantly I truly love to run!
