I first began running track the summer of 5th grade for Track Houston youth club. When I started running I was very inexperienced and no where near where I am today, but with the help of my coaches, teammates and my family I have learned that nothing comes easy and I must work for what I want. In my first year running track I competed in the Junior Olympic national championships placing 9th in the 100m, 5th in the 4x100 meter and 7th in the 4x400 meter relay. The following year I also competed in the Junior Olympic championships which I competed in the 100m, 200m and the 400 meter run. In my second year running track I ran Cross country for my school. I competed in the TCSAAL/HCAL East Regional Championships placing 2nd in the 3,200 meter run. During outdoor season I competed in the HCAL regional championships placing 1st in the 4x100 meter relay and 4th in the 200 meter run. I know that training every day will improve my strength, conditioning, and overall my performance. I wish to take my love for track further with me in life turning pro and running for USA at the Olympic games. I also wish to one day coach the next generation for my youth track club. I am hopeful in finding and committing to a program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically. I love and desire to achieve my graduate degree in Psychology, Criminology and the Human behavior to become a professional Psychiatrist.
