Setting the school record at my middle school was just the beginning of my journey in Track and Field. Running on varsity as a freshman, making it past districts to area were huge moments that I never saw myself achieving. Even though I didn’t make it to regionals it has helped me realize that I still have major room for improvement. I have the discipline and the desire to continually perfect my craft. I have not only gained the knowledge of being an athlete but also the value of teamwork and sacrifice.
I not only work hard on the track but in my academics. My academic goals in high school are to maintain a 3.6-4.0 GPA and be top 10% in my class ranks. My college goals are to major in psychology and earn my master's degree.
In my sophomore year, I had to overcome injuring my knee and not being able to run that year. That experience keeps me motivated to keep training so that I can be ready for my junior year. This year I have fully recovered and just finished up a great Cross Country season. I believe that I have the mindset that an athlete should have to compete for a college team.
