Personal Statement
I'm a 17 year old, 6'0" tall, 180 pound Senior. I'm a proud athlete who works hard and I dedicate myself and put forth 110% all the time. I'm rock solid and one of the strongest women athletes at my High School. I'm #5 out of 80 girls in the athletic program with a 24' vertical. As a Sophomore, I was a Finalist in Shotput at the Regional Qualifying meet and got 4th place. In 2012 as a Junior, I qualified for State in Discus with a throw of 120'2. I go to a small 2A High School. I am open to different kinds of schools. I would like to major in Secondary Education and become a Basketball Coach. I'm an athlete because I want to make a difference in myself and in my attitude. I enjoy what I do and couldn't risk giving any of it up after high school. That's why I would love to throw College Shotput. I want to help the team and improve my skills. It would be an awesome experience, and I'm looking forward to see what really is going to happen in my future.. I'm still learning and will always continue to grow as a person and a thrower. I know I have the potential and ability to do this. As a Junior, I beat our school record for the first time since 1984 with 41'. It is such an amazing feeling and I'm hoping to experience that again as I continue to get better at the sport.
