Kate Pemberton '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Kate! I am a driven sophomore with a 4.0 GPA and am continually trying to find ways to challenge myself. I love sports and want to pursue a career in sports medicine (either as medical doctor or trainer for a college or professional team). As a sophomore, I applied for and was accepted into the Prosper High School Sports Medicine Program, and look forward to becoming a student trainer for Prosper High School. I'm looking for opportunities to explore that career path in college.

I also love track and field! In particular, I have fallen in love with pole vault and high jump. At the end of my freshman year, my personal record in pole vault was 9'0" and in high jump was 5'0". After the season, I joined Texas Express Pole Vault club and continued to put in the work in the weight room. It has paid off. At the end of my sophomore outdoor season, I improved my pole vault personal record to 12'0" and placed third at the Texas 6A State Championships! I also improved my high jump personal record to 5'2" and advanced to the Area Championships. This next year, I plan to learn to run the hurdles (and keep improving in pole vault and high jump) and am excited to see where more hard work leads in my high school career and beyond.
