Hi, I'm Kate! I am a driven junior with a 4.0 GPA who is continually trying to find ways to challenge myself. I love sports and want to pursue a career in sports medicine (either as a medical doctor or trainer for a college or professional team). I am a Prosper High School Sports Medicine Program member and look forward to becoming a student trainer for Prosper High School. I'm looking for schools that can help me further explore that career path in college.
I also love track and field! In particular, I have fallen in love with pole vault and high jump. At the end of my freshman year, my personal record in the pole vault was 9'0", and in the high jump was 5'0". After the season, I joined Texas Express Pole Vault Club and continued to work hard in the weight room. It paid off. At the end of my sophomore outdoor season, I improved my pole vault personal record to 12'0". I placed third at the Texas 6A State Championships! I also improved my high jump personal record to 5'2" and advanced to the Area Championships. This next year, I plan to learn to run the hurdles (and keep improving in pole vault and high jump), and I am excited to see where more hard work will lead in my high school career and beyond.
