My name is Kaleigh Ellis and I am a Senior at San Saba High School in San Saba, Texas. I run the 3200m, 1600m and Cross Country. I would love to be given the opportunity to run Cross Country and long distance in college. I know I possess the skills, motivation, leadership, and determination needed to succeed at the college level. I started running long distance at the age of 12 and fell in love with running by accident. I had never run track before and my coach accidentally left me off of the first track meet roster in the 7th grade. That was a blessing in disguise because he asked me, on short notice, if I wanted to run the 1600m and 2400m runs and I said sure. I placed 5th at my first meet and have been running long distance ever since. My dad took me to the State Track Meet that year and I told him I would be running there when I got to high school. So far, I have run in the State Cross Country and State Track Meets for the past three years (XC, 1600, 3200). I plan to continue my success throughout my Senior year and into college. Ever since that first meet, it has been my dream to compete in college while earning a college degree. I want to make that dream become a reality. I would love to answer any questions coaches may have and look forward to hearing from you.
