Personal Statement
Sports have always played an important role in my life, however, when I began running track at the age of 12, I knew I found the sport I wanted to take to the next level. I know that competing at the collegiate level is a once in a lifetime opportunity that is sure to change my life. In addition to running, I hope to pursue my goal in studying to become an orthopedic doctor. I am focused and hardworking both on the track and in the classroom. I train year-round and strive to lead my peers through example. I am very coachable and dedicate myself to being one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find. I am self-driven and work tirelessly to maintain a high GPA. I’m also a member of National Honor Society, Health Occupations Students of America and MACE. I want to attend a college where I can push myself on the track and in the classroom. I’m open to all options, though I ultimately want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I aim to push myself toward becoming the greatest athlete I can be.
