Personal Statement

 NOMO AIN'T SLOWMO!

NOMO is my nickname. If you'd like to know how I got it, please ask.  Now we've all heard the saying, " Actions speak louder than words." Instead of saying a bunch of words that might not mean anything, let me list all the actions that I'm doing that just might mean everything.

                    Track

  • Weight training 3x a week
  • Speed training 1-2x a week
  • Daily nutritional focus
  • Daily stretching and SMR
  • Block work 1-2x a week
  • Watch film 2x a week

           My Daily Life

  • School studies
  • Work 3x a week
  • Practice Violin 5x a week
  • Maintain a high GPA
  • An active member of my church
  • Actively serve in my community
  • Support fellow classmates in their extracurricular activities

From this, you'll be able to see that I possess attributes that you will not find in every athlete. I also focus on the small actions to achieve great things.  I have a clear understanding that focusing on the daily grind is what moves the biggest mountains. I understand this because I have seen this within myself, especially this summer.   Now put your thoughts into actions and contact me I'm a great listener... just don't ask my parents :)

My PR's are as follows:

100M: 12.70 sec

200M: 26.75 sec

60M: 8.14sec

My goals for 2020 Outdoor track season are:

100M: 12.2 sec

200M: 26.1 sec

Indoor 60M: 8.0 sec

The reasons I believe I can run these times, in 2020, are because I have been putting in the time at the gym and on the track this offseason. I have been in the weight room 3 days per week.  I have been doing speed training, with a private speed coach, 1 to 2 days per week for the last 5 months.  From all of this, I have gained 10 lbs of muscle over these 5 months.  My 15M dash time went from 2.51 sec to 2.35 sec. I believe I can achieve these goals stated above.
