Running has always been my passion from a young age. I ran my first 5k at the age of 7, taking first place in my 1-11 yr old division, and 22nd out of all women with a 24:57. After that I was hooked to push myself to get better, but not just better at running- it has instilled in me the drive to excel at everything I do. Yes I love running cross country, steeplechase, 1600M, 4x400 relay, 800m, and even the 300m Hurdles; but I also love being with my family, hunting, interior design, being outdoors, learning new hairstyles, going to school, painting nails, doing service projects, being adventurous, and am also religious. I think it's good to have a passion, but I also feel I'm very well rounded and know how to balance my life accordingly. I want to live my life to the fullest, push myself to new limits, and try new things. I am very social and am a good teammate, always wanting to help those around me. Something that motivates me is wanting to prove people wrong when they look at my height. I am often overlooked and underestimated, so it brings a smile to my face when I leave the doubters with shock and surprise. I look forward to continuing to push myself in the collegiate experience- both athleticially and academically. I feel I have the necessary qualities to be successful in anything I pursue.
