Personal Statement
I am currently a sophomore at Alliance University. I have been participating in track since the age of 9. I instantly fell in love with the sport. I did not compete in the shot put at all in high school until my senior year. I have not had a throws coach at my college or a lifting program so most of my results are just self assessing. When training and competing my main focus is to always better myself. This means not only in regards to my technique but in terms of how I process my throws as well as staying focused. I enjoy getting feedback from coaches whether it be positive or constructive criticism. Doing the events that I compete in teaches me patience, hard work, and how to adapt quickly in order to be greater each time. I would be a great candidate for your team because I always give more than 100%. I thoroughly enjoy working out and will do whatever it takes to advance. I am able to pick things up quickly from both an academic and sports standpoint. I have always wanted to compete at a higher level and hope to not only excel at a college level but one day make it to the Olympics as well.
