Running has always been something very important to me. I started running with girls on the run and was inspired to be on my middle school cross country team. During the fall of my freshman year in high school I decided to try a new sport, field hockey. Although I had a wonderful season and enjoyed field hockey a lot I discovered how much I missed running and the cross country season. I joined the cross country team at my high school, Chatham Hall this year. I am someone different from other college athletes because I have a strong academic passion. I have always loved going to school and learning new things. Being a three season athlete starting in fifth grade I have had to learn how to manage my time with homework and sports practices. Attending rigorous schools have always fueled strive for learning and academic success. Running, playing sports with friends, or even just spending time outside have always been how I enjoy spending my time. I love running and I want to become a better runner for myself. I am currently training for a half marathon and I am excited to improve myself as an endurance runner and athlete.
