Personal Statement
When I was in 9th grade and I competed in my first track meet I knew I wanted to be a runner. After coming first in districts in my 800m and 1600m, also beating Dan Rivers record for the 800m I knew I had the passion to run.My tenth grade year; however, I saw my weaknesses but I grew and got stronger. My 4X800m team made it to state that year. I’ve learned from running that I can accomplish anything if I put my heart and effort in to it and never give up.
Through my years I’ve learned the value of teamwork, commitment, and leadership. I’m looking for a school that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe not only do I have the talent to compete for a college team, but the disposition, work-ethic, and leadership to have a positive effect in your program.
