Personal Statement
Track has become a major part of my life ever since I moved before my freshman year. It has been a way to meet new people, to better myself physically and mentally, and to challenge myself constantly. Tahoma High School provides an excellent learning environment on the track, giving me some of the best coaches who themselves have ran at D1 universities. I am constantly on the track working to improve my form, speed, and mental performance. The beginning of my junior year is when I finally decided that I wanted to pursue track in college. I began training as hard as ever and it paid off. My 100 hurdle time dropped by 1 1/2 seconds in only 3 months training, and 1 second of my 300 hurdle time. The great thing is that I keep improving, my times keep going down just about every race. The best part is I still have a lot to learn and a lot of things that I can improve on which will only better my time. My senior year I am planning on doing more running events and to try jumps. Also participating in indoor track.
