Molly Mattson '18 Recruiting Profile

Running is a passion of mine that has taught me many lessons and I hope to continue learning new things from it as a collegiate runner. The team atmosphere, especially in cross country, is a dynamic that you can't find anywhere else and it has brought some very amazing people into my life. On a team you fight as hard as you possibly can for each other and I think that is why I like it so much, it is a family. I have learned to be a leader who leads by example and is always on the look out for how I can help others around me. I have learned how to fight through adversity whether it be an injury or some other type of set-back and persevere on while relying on my faith. When asked to complete a task, I do it with 100% of my effort and will keep working at it until the task is complete no matter the amount of pain or grit it will take.
