I am a 5'4 Track and Field Athlete from Black River Falls, WI. I have ran Varsity Track and Field at Black River Falls High School for 3 years. I have a 22 ACT score and a 3.3 GPA.
Running a 14.94 in 100 M Hight Hurdles, is so far the highlight of my High School career. But I feel like I grew the most this season. At the State Track and Field meet I made it into finals and was seeded second in Division 2. During the race another runner made hard contact with me and I was thrown completely off rhythm and hit the next hurdle with my hands so that I would not fall, but I continued and finished the race. The referees didn't see the other runner make contact so I was disqualified from the race for touching the hurdle. This experience has helped me learn that no matter what happens you need to keep going and finish what you started. This experience has given me even more drive and determination for my next year.
I have been lucky enough to have an amazing coaches that helped me to break the Coulee Conference 100 M High Hurdle record with a 15.07 , Black River Falls high School 100 M High Hurdle record with a 14.94, win Coulee Conference Athlete of the Year for Girls Track and Field, be nominated as MVP 2 years in a row, be voted a captain, to be a state qualifier two years in a row and a state finals qualifier this previous year. When accomplishing these things I have acquired a new respect for the sport. Track and Field requires everything you have all the time and I am willing to do that. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically. I am looking for a school in the Midwest, and I am looking to go to a smaller school. But I believe I have the talent, work-ethic, and leadership skills to be a great addition to your team.
