Julia Zautcke '12 Recruiting Profile

You can find all of my academic and athletic statistics within this scouting report. What you won't be able to find are my unique qualities such as being a very coach-able, highly motivated, and team-building athlete. Throughout all the sports I have performed in, I have been told that I take instruction well and try to implement what is taught to me immediately in my practice and routines. I've looked to coaches to teach me technique and to fine-tune my abilities. I'm always willing to put in the work required on the track and the weight room. In both academics and athletics, I have identified that my personality includes setting challenging goals for myself. I believe that because I am so goal oriented I have an extreme determination to achieve these goals. I've had to weather disappointments in my athletic career such as missing opportunities to participate in the state competitions by one position in both track and cross country. While immediately defeated by the outcome that day, later I was able to appreciate the success of the entire season. These disappointments gave and still give me greater determination to achieve my goals for the next season. Academics continue to play an important factor in the decisions ahead of me. Ultimately, I hope that in my collegiate athletics I am able to make a positive impact on my team.
