I am a Senior at Superior High School, and a 4 year member of the Varsity track team. This year I was also named a captain. I was awarded All-Conference First Team 2013 in the 100m, 4x100, and 200. I have qualified for the WIAA State Championships all 3 years, twice in the 100 and 200, and once in the 4x400 and 4x100. I also am a member of the Varsity Swim Team, and a captain. I received All Conference First Team in the 200 yd Medley Relay, 50yd Freestyle, and 400yd Freestyle Relay. Additionally, I have been playing club level soccer for 4 years now. In the winter I train on my own using programs including kettlebells and TRX. My academic achievements include A-honor roll, and lettering in Academics. I am involved in different activities in my school and my community, including FBLA, DECA, Youth Leadership and Duluth Sister City Soccer Exchange. My dream is to run college track at a competitive level, as well as challenge myself in the classroom. I believe that what it means to be a good athlete is to not just be successful athleticism wise, but to put in hard work 24/7, no matter who is watching. To do that you need self motivation. I also believe a good athlete is also a good leader and a good teammate.
