Personal Statement

First , competing can be explained in many ways by different point of views.  I would explain it as bringing a team together and striving to dominate the opposing side. Both teams are aiming for the same goal; to win. As a team, working together and pushing each other to do their best will show when superiority comes into play.  In the end, winning and working hard is only half the battle.  Additionally, having the heart for the game is a must when playing on a competitive team.  If one loses this, then you lose the game as well.  One thing you should know; I like to compete hard in volleyball and have our team dominate the opponent.
Second, I am looking for a college experience to be able to gain more knowledge in studies that I am proud to be working towards for a future career.  I look forward to the new options and setting new goals when attending a university. Balancing my studies, including volleyball into my schedule will be challenging but I do believe that life is about a proper balance.  Being a student athlete has always been a huge part of my life.  In social aspects, it is a great place to meet new people and be introduced into an environment of illustrious yet friendly people.
