Tendall Weigand '20 Recruiting Profile

I have the passion, dedication, and drive it takes to be successful both on and off the court. In my collegiate search, I am seeking to attend a school that provides me the opportunity to pursue my athletic, academic, and social desires. I am a natural leader, with a heart to motivate and inspire others. I have been told by past coaches and instructors that my positive influence and energy radiate, and that I have a unique quality that enables me to lift up my team and those around me. In all aspects of life, I pride myself in taking every opportunity to try new things, challenge myself, and refuse to accept complacency. While dedicating myself as a multi-sport athlete,  scholar, and Student Government leader has not proven to be easy, the rewards I have experienced have had a profound impact on my life, my view of the world around me, and the person I continue to become. I have made a commitment to myself to not allow fear to dictate my potential and what I am capable of accomplishing. My teammates would describe me as bold but also humble, courageous yet compassionate, and serious yet also silly. I am intentional in my words and actions so that they reflect and embody what and who a leader should be no matter the circumstances. In addition to being passionate about volleyball and deeply devoted to my teammates, I have a sincere passion for serving others and the community, including my church and on my school campus. I firmly believe that I possess the skills, character, commitment, and discipline that is required of a college athlete while pursuing my education.
