I was 9 years old watching the USA Olympic team play on TV when I realized that volleyball is what I needed to do. I have been playing ever sense. A big goal I achieved my freshman year was getting to play on varsity in normal season and championships. It was that moment, I stepped into my first varsity game at 14 years old when I knew I couldn’t ever let myself be on anything else but that team. I found what I was capable of and realized how much further I could go.
Being the youngest on the court I learned to fight for my spot and knew I could never let up. I believe I have what it takes to be a leader on and off the court and achieve academic greatness in college.
