I have been playing volleyball since I was 11, and I love the game!! I am extremely disciplined both on and off the court.
On the court, I am a team player and I believe it takes teamwork, commitment, and sacrifice to win. Since my freshman year, I've found myself in a unique situation where I had to play 2 different positions between school and club volleyball. I played libero/DS for my club team, won the 2017 USA National Championship, and was named a Supernova by PrepVolleyball.com. As a sophomore, I was the captain and setter for my high school varsity team, and was recognized as Region Offensive Player of the Year and 1st Team All-Region. Having to switch between positions has been very difficult as I set high expectations for myself, but I've become a much stronger and more well-rounded person because of it. Through all of my ups and downs, I have learned to persevere no matter how I felt because my team depended on me.
Off the court, I am motivated to excel in my academics and I've been able to maintain top grades (3.98 GPA, 4.87 weighted GPA) in all my courses. I also love to sing and do watercolor on my spare time. I want to attend a great university/college and continue to play volleyball at the collegiate level, however, I'm still exploring the right fit for me to balance between academics and athletics. What makes me different is that once I commit to something, I am in all the way and I am not afraid of hard work.
