Hello my name is Kylie Davey. I am currently attending Liberty High School in Peoria Arizona. I will be graduating in 2022. I live with my parents Dan and Mendi my younger brother Conner and younger sister Katelyn.
I started playing volleyball at the age of 7 and have been on a competitive/traveling club team since the age of 10. I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel all around the country including places like Kansas City, California, Las Vegas, Chicago, Denver, and Detroit. My love and passion for volleyball continues to grow every year. I was honored to make my high school varsity team this year as a freshman and help our team make it to the state tournament.
Outside of volleyball I'm involved in my local church where I volunteer with children with special needs and help coach in various sports programs. I'm also in a club at school called Club Unify where we are paired up with a student who has special needs and we form a friendship and help include them in activities in and outside of school. My brother Conner has Down Syndrome and has taught me more about patience, forgiveness, hard work, and love than anyone would ever know. These are traits I strive to pass on to those around me.
I work hard in the classroom understanding that academics come first and volleyball second. I plan on pursuing a career in the medical field possibly in nursing like my mom or physical therapy. I'm looking for a school that has a strong medical program to help me achieve these goals.
I'm a player who is coachable, hard working and puts the team first. I try to lead by example through hard work, a positive attitude and encouraging the players around me. One of the proudest awards I've received I got last year while attending a local University volleyball camp where there were players from the ages of 13-18 and I was selected for being positive, supporting the players around me and helping to make them better.
I'm a six rotation outside hitter/opposite player looking for a program I can help make an impact on right away. I'm flexible and am willing to do whatever it takes to help make the team better.
My dream is to someday earn my college degree and be able to play volleyball at the highest level. I understand to achieve these goals it will take a lot of hard work, determination and perseverance. Traits I feel I have and challenges I look forward to.
Thank you,
Kylie Davey
