Personal Statement
I have aspired to play volleyball at the collegiate level since I first started playing the sport when I was 9 years old. Ever since I first touched a ball, I have loved the sport and it has become a true passion of mine. I have put countless hours into training to become the best I can be. Volleyball has taught me many valuable life skills including how to be a leader and work cohesively with other people. Volleyball is a team sport and the only way to be successful is when everyone works together. Not only have I learned how to work with other people, but I have also learned the importance of leadership both on and off the court. Being a setter, I have learned how to be a leader and a person that others can count on no matter what. Along with these two things, I have also learned how to compete and work hard for everything in my life. Something that I have always lived by is that no one is going to hand me anything, if I want to be successful, I have to put in the work to earn it.
Although volleyball is very important to me, I am a student athlete so my schooling is also very important. I have maintained a 4.0 or higher all throughout my high school career so far. I continue to take honors and AP classes to challenge myself and to continue to grow my knowledge. I always put my best foot forward in everything I do and work hard to be successful.
