Sydney Martin '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello! First of all, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.  I have been playing volleyball for five years. I started playing in middle school and fell in love with the game then.  I started out as a Middle Blocker and played that up until half way through my freshman year when I was transferred to Outside Hitter. I also played Right Side for one season of club since that is what my team needed of me that year.  I now only play Outside. I was injured for the last month of my sophomore school season so I missed quite a few games, but now I am completely healed and back to the sport I love.  I want to play volleyball in college because I love the sport and I want to continue to play it beyond high school; I honestly cannot imagine my life without volleyball.  I work very hard even though I am incredibly busy with volleyball and representing my school in two other sports. As far as Academics go, I am currently in the most challenging classes I am permitted to be taking for my age.  I also care very deeply about my education. I do not know what I want to major in.  As far as my character,  people have described me as hardworking and passionate about what I do. I do not give up easily.  I currently am playing for my high school team and will continue to update my profile as my volleyball career continues.  I hope this helped you to know me better!
