Personal Statement
As a player I know that, like every player, I have strengths and things that I can improve. I also know that there are things that impact my play that I have no control over. As a 5’5’’ setter I know that I have to be smart, aware, scrappy and find ways to turn what is a potential “weakness” into an asset. I am known for my hustle, I can save balls even when they are extremely out of system, and don’t stop until the whistle. My most memorable game this season was when I was punched in the face by a teammate (going for a ball of course), broke my nose and was out bleeding for a set and a half. I came back in when we were down 11-1 and we won in 5. It was hard, it hurt, but it was so much fun!
Volleyball has enhanced my life in so many ways. From friendships, to learning leadership skills, fighting through hard times and being humble in success.
