Personal Statement
My name is Catalina Williams, and I am a Right Side/Middle Hitter in the class of 2021. I attend Mount Saint Mary Academy in Little Rock, AR and maintain a 4.3 GPA. I began playing in the fifth grade and instantly fell in love with the sport. In playing a team sport for six years, the aspect of the game I love most is teamwork. Without the support and hard work from every teammate it would be hard to accomplish anything, but with the support and determination of everyone a team can accomplish any goal. Having to be the best version of myself on and off the court for my teammates has taught me a lot about myself; that I am a leader, strong mentally and physically, a dedicated player, determined, and have a strong work ethic.
I hope to go into the medical field and greatly enjoy school. I push myself academically to do my best in my honors and AP classes and on the court. I also hope to play at a school I can continue to push myself to achieve my goals of being a great player, teammate and also becoming a doctor someday. I currently play for my high school on Varsity and Elite Volleyball Academy 16 Nationals (EVA). I learn something new about myself, the game, and my teammates every time I step in the gym, and I look forward to continuing to grow as an athlete at the next level.
